Common questions
The original game, the practice games, and how to get the most out of both.
What is Perceptle, and how do I play?
Perceptle is a daily perception game with five rounds: Count, Track, Angle, Tempo and Split. Estimate a dot count, predict a landing spot, set an angle, maintain a rhythm and mark a proportion. Play the original game at the top of this page, or read our step-by-step rules.
Can I play Perceptle more than once a day?
Yes. The original game includes Keep playing for more rounds and an Archive for previous daily challenges. Our practice center also offers unlimited independent rounds for any one of the five skills, with specific error feedback.
Where can I find the Perceptle archive?
Open the original game above and choose its Archive option to select a previous puzzle. The archive is provided by Perceptle itself; our five practice games generate fresh training rounds rather than reproducing archived puzzles.
Why is Friday's game different?
Friday introduces variations: moving dots, a ricocheting ball, angles beyond a full turn, off-beat rhythm continuation and fractions longer than one line. Read each on-screen instruction carefully. Our Friday guide explains the changes; the local practice games use the normal rules.
How is my Perceptle score calculated?
Each challenge gives a score from 0 to 100 based on error. Your total is the rounded average of five scores. Grades are S at 95+, A at 85+, B at 70+, C at 55+, D at 40+, and F below 40. Try your numbers in the score calculator and see the individual error formulas.
Does Perceptle work on mobile?
Yes, the original game and our practice pages support touch. Tap to select a landing point, drag the angle or split marker, and use the numeric keyboard for Count. Use Fullscreen beneath the game for a larger view, or open the loading options under Help to play in a separate tab. Close Help to return to the same embedded game.
Why can I not hear Tempo?
Turn up media volume and enable your device's sound. Start Tempo with a tap or click so the browser can enable audio. If Bluetooth adds a delay, try the built-in speaker or wired headphones. Keep the game visible while playing. Our Tempo practice includes an explicit audio start button.
Are these practice games the official Perceptle?
The embedded daily game is the original from perceptle.com. This site is an independent companion. Our practice exercises are separately built and their scores stay on your device; they are not official daily scores or global rankings.
